Nice. Since you mention beaches, bikinis, and I assume babes, I just read through an offer to goto work in Williston, N.D. for a 5 year gig doing tech work.

agreed. my roommate and i were excited to go climbing today because it's "warm" at 58 degrees. just waiting for that terrible morning when i wake up and look outside to everything covered in snow...and so it begins.

Just started raining here in the S.F. Bay Area, went from about 59/60 to 52 in just 10 minutes.

We've got all of that in Arizona!

There's Tempe Town Beach, ASU bikinis, and I think you can scuba dive in the lakes around here.

Plus, the ski lifts are 2 hours away and it used to be you could get to "Cancun North" in about 3 hours, but I don't think you want to drive through mexico anymore. It's too bad too, because Rocky Point Mx, was supposed to be really nice.

today was kind of cold and rainy....I had to put a flannel on :flipoff:

I'm going to try to make it to SnT tomorrow, but it's not for sure. :( I only have my ford POS work truck to drive out there.... Forecast is calling for some rain starting late tomorrow night through sunday morning. I think the rain today is pretty much done

You all make me laugh, we had SNOW last weekend.
SNOW! its been getting up to 60 in the highs and sometimes the 20s at night.

I hate the cold too, but when you say 70 is cold thats just funny.

When I lived in AZ we used to drive down to Puerto Peñasco regularly and had a great time (I remember being surprised how cheap stuff was), but I was young and bulletproof then. :D Given all the violence at the borders lately, personally there's alot of other fun stuff worth doing in and around AZ instead of heading further south.

Had a good laugh about the cold thread though, I can sympathize with the lady in her snow bikini now. :laugh:

Sunny & 36F here right now. My kids have a fall baseball game today at 3pm - should be around 60F. They played yesterday too - not as warm though.

My heater is already going in my garage...

Funny you mention a heater, since I have to watch Lil'One on the days here (started the day out in the mid 40's where I am at) and I needed to look at the Runner just now I jumped and bought one of those dish heaters from Costco.

Now I gotta ask myself, why'd I wait so long to get one? These things are sweet!

I like camping in the cold too, but you definitely have to have the right equipment for it.

NOw, it's a pain though with the wife and kids. They do not like the cold....

The cold rocks.

I camp, exclusively, from mid October through mid March.
Went this past weekend, and it was high 50's during the day, and low 20's at night. Yes, tent camping, in the national forest with no electricity or heaters or anything.
Been doing it since I was just a little me.

I love it too. Especially since I'm usually in Texas in the summer and its still like 95 at night, so winter camping in Utah is great. nothing like waking up to a little bit of new snow and all your water frozen solid.

At least it's pouring rain b/c it keeps the air from getting too dry and cold*. We're expecting showers for a short bit on Sunday, it'll push us back into the 50's where we usually are. I've been wearing my thermals, work polo, and snow jackets all week. WTF.

^LOL, now I'm thinking of Waimea. 70 degrees, light rains usually around 2pm that cool you off just enough and you're nice and dried off an hour later.

I can't wait until late Feb-march to goto our house in Chapala or maybe Maui instead.
