I have been wanting to check out the King Of The Hammers for a few years now. I have that weekend off and want to see if some people would like to camp with me. I may go up late Friday or super early Sat morning. The main race is on Sat the 10th. I will camp/party on Sat night for sure.

I dont think this is a good event for kids as the race course is dangerous, and the lakebed will be a huge party.

Who's in?

are you all planning on paying that $20 per person.... I was cool with the $10 DONATION last year but this just keeps going up and up... Part of offroad racing has always been that it didnt cost any more than beer/food for the night. I get the feeling someone is getting greedy. 20,000 people showing up and if we charge them to go on public lands and they buy that BS then we make a lot of money.... And only 10% or something is for keeping the lands open. Who is making all the bank on this event

Long story short I will not be paying.

And its going to be a wild party. that has always been part of the fun, but as far as it being dangerous i wouldnt say that is true at all. As long as dad/mom dont get wasted and drive around then you should have a safe trip. See you all out there

Yeah I know...Its just the friday main race blows when I'm working. Last year was really fun to go the day after and do a run with the hung over crew. I hope the same will go down this year
