Temporary Outage - UY Server Maintenance

Hello fellow UY members,

As you may have noticed, we have been experiencing a lot of issues with the server we've been using so we will be moving to a new box which is newer and faster! I have already moved the site over yesterday successfully using Friday evening's data so things are looking pretty sweet. I will take the server offline for 12 hours or so to make sure I'm able to move the data and also upgrade a lot of the features and functionality of the site.

Server will go down @ March 8, 2012 11:59pm Pacific Time Zone.

Lance, great idea traveling through time to do the switch and update! this way we will only have a memory of it happening exactly one month ago!

i'm not sure what i will do for the 12 hours it's down. maybe spend time with my family... nah!

Server is back online but I had a few problems getting it up. I already see some obvious bugs but I'll be working these out over the next few days. Please post up any weird bugs you guys encounter. If emails are not working please let me know as well.

yeah I'm not sure what happened to that page. All of the content is in the db cuz I can see it along with the photos in the folders but somehow it doesn't want to show up. doh!

I think the emails are still down though cuz I'm not getting anything... hmmm

Please let me know the performance is on this server. I'm still making changes to it so hopefully it'll be much faster. I've also updated and patched a bunch of things to the site so hopefully we'll be 100% soon.

Thanks Avy, we just managed to offlink into here through a different system using my macbook but if I/we try to go directly through the www.ultimateyota.com (http://www.ultimateyota.com) link it fails still. Screenshot for ya.

Update, FWIW (I'm pretty sure Lance will agree here on the techno-jibberish (propagate??)) we just finished up stuff and what I was noticing is all of us w/ the macbooks are used to just using short url, no "www." in them. It's likely it'll just take a couple days for the new machine's I.P. (or domain, or whatever the term I am forgetting from classes 2 years ago is) to be recognized across the web and the 404 error will correct itself.

Hopefully that just made sense b/c I felt stupid just now trying to type it. :rofl:

When I type a reply to existing posts and then press 'post' my machine just churns. I usually wait awhile then go back to the Forum Index-Today's Post and it's there. I'm using Firefox on a PC.

I think the features member area is broke as well. Clicking on the features members bring you to a page with nothing on it other than the site template.
