You Can Still Be Generous In Today's Economy
eDivvy.com Makes Gift Gifting Easy & Affordable

eDivvy [ee-div-ee] [noun]: foolproof method for giving someone what they really want and dividing the cost among a group of people. Synonym: Group Gifting

You've undoubtedly been approached by an enthusiastically earnest, envelope-wielding co-worker or family member asking if "you want to go in with us on a gift?"

You may waver, but ultimately, you realize that if you went ahead and purchased something on your own, it would never be as generous as a group gift.

But even Group Gifting has its troubles, especially for the person collecting the money.  There's invariably someone who'll give you an I.O.U. and payment can be in all different forms.  Some gave you checks, others used Paypal, and still others hand you their share... in change.

Then, there's the shopping (and invariably, the store which didn't have what you're committed to get), the buying, the carrying to and from your car, the wrapping, the delivery.

Between the time and responsibility, being a Group Gift Organizer is the bailiwick of the young.  Once you've done it, it's not bloody likely you'll make another offer to head the operation up again.

The future of Group Gifting is here and its name is eDivvy.com.  Based in Los Angeles, eDivvy.com allows gift givers to not only contribute to a truly sensational gift, but is done in super simple steps.

1. Choose a gift from some of the most popular retailers in the country.

2. Enter the emails of people you want to invite.

3. Take a bow.  You'll get all the credit with only the tiniest trace of "work."

eDivvy automates the annoying portion of Group Gifting, like collecting money, sending reminders and acquiring the gifts. eDivvy does all of the coordinating.  Just call eDivvy your P.A. (personal assistant).

With eDivvy, every aspect can be tracked, the perfect gift selected, who to invite to contribute and the process of "divvying up" the cost.  Gifters can monitor contributions and the entire process (consider how bill pay changed your life!). Coin collected, the gift is sent to the lucky recipient's destination, directly from the merchant.

eDivvy reinvents group gifts.  Efficient, easy, and affordable.  And isn't that the way all things should work?

ABOUT EDIVVY

eDivvy.com, launched in February 2008, began when cofounder Steven Ng, overwhelmed by the sheer number of birthdays and celebrations in his inner circle, sought a simple way to involve faraway friends and family in his gift-giving.  To his dismay, he couldn't find a solution on the Internet, so he and his friends decided to build what they needed.  The result is eDivvy, the better way to group gift.

ImageXenonDepot has been selling lighting products since 2001. They started off as 2 colleagues that were simply put – car enthusiasts. Being car enthusiasts meant that they were only willing to sell quality components and kits as they would not stand behind anything that they would not use in their own personal vehicles.

Their products come with a legitimate one year warranty that they will stand behind should you require after sales service and support. Purchasing online is very different than purchasing from a brick and mortar store. As a customer you really need to be careful where you purchase products. Many online companies out there advertise “Quality Products,” “Lifetime Warranties,” and are very quick to respond when you originally purchase your product. However, when you require after sales service and support they quickly disappear. XenonDepot’s number one source of business is through positive word of mouth. They value their customers and support them through every step of the process both before and after sales.

If you have any additional questions about their products they feature, feel free to contact them anytime.

The Xtreme HID Conversion kits utilize cutting edge HID components made with superior Japanese craftsmanship and quality. Laser calibrated bulbs are used to ensure proper fitment and optically correct beam patterns.

The Ballasts used in this product are uniquely designed for aftermarket applications as they are completely epoxy sealed to protect against harsh weather conditions. In aftermarket applications, ballasts are often mounted outside the headlamp leaving them susceptible to water damages. The Xtreme ballasts are specifically designed for these applications making them the superior choice for your aftermarket HID upgrade.

BALLAST SPECIFICATIONS:

Image  Image

- Xtreme HID ballasts are designed with a patented multi stage safety feedback (M.S.S.F.) system allowing them to interact with the bulbs to determine optimal light output.

- Xtreme HID ballasts use a patented self intelligent light output configuration (S.I.L.C) to ensure brightness stability and precise illumination colour.

- The Xtreme HID ballasts are designed for both 12V and 24V applications.

- Equipped with advanced polarity protection system

This product comes complete with wiring harness that will literally plug directly into your OEM headlight harness via proper mating connectors. The harness provided will include upgraded fuses and relays to ensure you do not draw a higher current from your stock wiring harness than it was designed to provide.

ImageWhen the owner of 4x Innovations, Adam, embarked on his first ever truck build, a wrecked 1987 4 Runner, dubbed Junior, he knew it would be a big project, but little did he know just what that project would turn into. From the humble beginning, working almost completely in the uncovered pad of concrete at a farm and his parent’s driveway, the project began. As it progressed Adam realized that the parts he needed just weren’t available at a price, quality, and look he wanted. At this time the build took a new turn to learning new fabrication skills. Soon a tubing bender, notcher, and other tools arrived in the driveway, amazing friends and neighbors.  Once the truck was “finished” (they never really are, are they?) and the wheeling began, people took note of the work done to this vehicle and started asking for parts.Image

That great build and humble beginning grew into what now is 4x Innovations. After 3 years in aerospace engineering, Adam realized a dream and took his growing hobby and turned it into a business, moving from outdoors to indoors, into a small shop. Again in August 2007 4x Innovations expanded into a new, nicer, larger facility where there is plenty of room to grow with it’s customers. From day one the focus has simply been to make a good part that functions as needed, has a clean look, and has a fair price behind it. The attention is in the details, and listening to what you, the wheelers want is just one of those details. Adam regularly takes customer’s responses and requests and integrates those requests into product upgrades and even new products. He is always trying to push the envelope of what can be done, and come up with a new way to do something. When you place an order you’re sure to be getting not just a part, but the whole package of care and service that part needs to go with it.

Be sure to check in with the giveaway going on right now for your chance to win one of these great products. Also be sure to stop over at the web site and poke around. ImageYou never know what kind of cool stuff you might find. Take for example the most well known part, Quick Release Door Hinges, kick out Rock Sliders, Bumpers, more. http://www.4xinnovations.com

ImageProviding great parts is just one of Adam’s passions. In the time not spent building trucks and parts he spends time with his little brothers. He also loves snowboarding, biking, mountain boarding, traveling, and many other things. The kid inside still occasionally races the gas RC truck, or flies the RC plane and helicopter. In the winter his years of snowboarding turn into being a mentor and judge for local junior freestyle competitions. His travels take him all over the country, so keep an eye out for him on the trail or on the snow.

ImageJeremy and Katy live in Roanoke Virginia with Jeremy's 3 children ages 4, 2, and 7 months. Jeremy primarily maintains Loudin's Powdercoating, giving price quotes, prepping parts as well as coating them. Katy works full time as a CCA (customer care associate) for United Health Care and works the occasional evening and weekends learning the ins and outs of the powder coating business.

ImageLoudin's Powdercoating was started by Jeremy Loudin a little over a year ago in 2006 after he became interested in the profession while working for a coating company in Florida. After re-locating to Virginia, Jeremy decided to continue his education and persue his dreams of being a business owner. He used the funds from his G.I. Bill and student loans to purchase the materials to begin the business.  With nothing more than a dream and a few colors, Loudin's Powder Coating began with a very rocky start.  The business was originally located in Pulaski VA,  a very small town in central VA. With no business coming in it seemed like the dream may be over.

Then in May of  2006 Jeremy met Katy who lived in Roanoke VA,  They moved in together, and shortly after moved the business as well. For the first few months things were slow going, then little by little, more and more people began to want to use Loudin's for their powder coating needs.  Jeremy and Katy believe in doing things the right way and putting the best product out that they can. The overall progression of the business proves that. They have recently built a bigger oven to be able to accomodate larger parts such as sliders, bumpers and rims! Loudin's offers quality product at competitive pricing. You can view their website for contact info or just PM them here, Jeremy (callmej75) or Katy (euphorickaty80).

We Want YOU to Contribute Knowledge to Wiki Writeups!
News

April 3, 2007
Bob_98SR5

So what's all the fuss about the Ultimate Yota Wiki?  And what's so different about a tech thread in any vehicle's subforum vs the UY Wiki writeup?  And why should you contribute your time and effort to participating in a Wiki writeup?  Those are definitely some great questions to ask, so I will address them below.

ImageFirst, the main difference between a tech thread/writeup in a vehicle subforum and a Wiki writeup is this:  a Wiki writeup is tech post or writeup that has been vetted for accuracy and consolidated into a single writeup and moved into our Wiki page---that is to say, we will identify or take requests on what writeups we'd like to "Wiki-ize".  So what's the value in doing that?  Here's an example:  how many times have you read a tech thread about Seafoam, but then read another post that contradicted the first tech thread in a small but important detail, but then read a third post that contridicted the first, but agreed with the second?  Confusing, huh?  So as a result, these three threads start to perpetuate some true and some false information.

Wouldn't it be great if a small team of experienced volunteers tackled the problem and wrote the "end-all-of-end-all Seafoam writeup?"  That is our goal and that is what we'd like you to participate in.

Second, our core belief is to get everyone involved and engaged in the development and the culture of this site---a culture of helping those who wish to help themselves.  Notice I said "site" and not just forum because it is our strategy to define ourselves and our mission beyond just another Toyota forum.  By involving yourself in the process of contributing to a Wiki writeup, we want you to take "pride in ownership" and engaging yourself with other members to contribute great  technical resources that benefits others beyond the normal forum posting experience.  You will get co-authorship rights, so your name will be immortalized in the document smile

And lastly, why all the fuss about the Wiki and what do I get out of it?  Well simply put, we intend this to be a community of people helping people.  There is a certain sense of satisfaction I know everyone here has had by helping a good friend or a random stranger with a modification or a simple maintenance repair.  But instead of sharing that with just one person at a time, you'd be able to help thousands of people at once!

And that is the kind of community we want to build and the staff here at UltimateYota.com hope you will want the same.  Email me at bobkim @ 4runners.org and sign up as a co-author to any of the writeups below!  Thanks!!

ImageBrian's always been a passionate person concerning his interests, so as he's added new interests, he's expanded his skills and talents.  Sometimes his passion about something has put him in hot water, but as he's matured and now has boys of his own, he's tried to channel his passion into positive avenues in order to better not only himself, but his family and friends.  Many of the skills he now possesses have been birthed in this passion and have come through a great investment of time, effort and expense.  Some examples are learning to weld at the local junior college 20 years ago, learning to play golf and becoming a scratch golfer (okay maybe a 3 handicap), becoming fluent in biblical Greek and Latin, having a 200+ average as a league bowler, and learning to play guitar after the age of 30.  He is a true believer that since you only live once that if you want to be able to do something, learn to do it now!  One of his favorite quotes is "Vita sine litteris mors est" which simply means that "Life without learning is death".  He does not want to end this life some day with any true regrets as life is too short.  Carpe Diem.

ImageHis current passion is Toyota 4x4 trucks and metal fabrication and out of this passion WabFab Off-Road was birthed.  He states that while he certainly does not have the time nor fortitude to make all the products he sells on his website, as he has a full time job as a fabrication engineer for a local industrial contractor, he does greatly enjoy fabricating products for his own truck and sharing them with others.  It is through WabFab that he helps to offset the costs of modifying his own trucks and hopefully his boys' trucks in several years down the road.

His most well known product to date has been the Slider Adapters for Hi-Lift Jacks, which comes in two sizes at the moment.  It is out of this one product that WabFab has grown into what it is today.  His goal with WabFab is not to be the biggest, but simply the best at providing personal attention and service for his customers and anyone considering doing business with WabFab.  He likes to know the names of the people he does business with locally.  He thinks that helps the relationship, so he strives to do the same with his customers - to know them by name and develop a personal relationship with them.

Brian has offered up UltimateYota's first ever product giveaway, a combination off Sliders, a Slider Adapter, T-Shirt and Stickers for one lucky winner.  Be sure to weigh in here - the giveaway is open to all members of Ultimate Yota (staff excluded of course).  Post up and good luck.  Many thanks to Brian for stepping up with our inaugural giveaway!!

For more information on Wabfab and their products, see his website at http://www.wabfab.org .
