Cheese (Adrian)

Adrian doesn’t do well with rules, lumping or sorting. During his youth in Southern Wisconsin, he bounced between the sports fields, the classroom and the family farm. When his parent’s moved into the country, they acquired a 95 4Runner to combat constant damage on the family minivan. At the age of 16, Adrian started driving the 4Runner to school and around town.

It was not until college that Adrian got urge to monkey with his truck. While receiving a Big Ten education, he started trying to make the truck better for exploring the logging roads and fields of Central and Northern Wisconsin. With degrees in Philosophy and Biology, Adrian was not on track to get a real job, so he moved to Colorado and took the monkeying to a new level.

Mastering trails across the southwest had hammered the poor 4Runner. Thankfully, working for two of the premiere Toyota Off Road shops left him no choice. After two years in Colorado, the only parts that remain from the original 95 are the body, frame and front brake calipers. Sadly, Adrian has returned to the classroom, so trail time is tight.

Now Adrian spends his time reading, competing in logging sports and trying to tie up all the loose ends related to replacing everything below the frame. The notion of spare time is foreign as a Master’s thesis integrating hunting, animal rights and conservation consumes time not spent chasing young women.

What can we say about Kevin?  In one word: codger.  Ol' Kevin has many interests and talents, few of which are worthy of anything.  He enjoys the solitude and solemness of the remote out-of-doors, learned during his early days as a Boy Scout.  The evolution of this pleasure combined with a fascination of anthropology, especially as it applies to the early 19th century settlement of this North American continent, brings to focus the reason why he became interested in off-roading; particularly on the more arduous trails.  Kevin loves to study the history of, and visit ghost towns of the West.  In his experience, the best ones are the most difficult to reach, ergo, my runner...

According to Kevin, the rest of his life abounds with staggering mediocrity.  His career is entrepreneurial in nature, since he hasn't the discipline to be employed by others.  It has served him well.  :)

Kevin is married with four boys.  Their ages range from 10 to 26.  They are the center of their lives.  The venerable "Mrs. Fuster's" name is Robin...though he kids and teases, Robin is the love of his life.

Lee has been wheeling for over 3 years, enjoying the sport, the people and the great outdoors.  When he got his first Toyota in 2003, he started a chapter of 4ROC in the Northeast, and recently merged it with another club to form what is essentially the largest, and most active Toyota offroading club in the Northeast: the Northeast Toyota Crawlers.  Lee tries to teach good wheeling ethics and practices, and responsibility on the trail.

Matt has been into wheeling ever since he drove up a trail that a Big Wheel could go up and thought it was hardcore!  Ever since then, he has enjoyed 4wheeling, camping and turning wrenches.

He graduated undergrad with a degree in International Management and is currently exploring other career opportunities.  Matt enjoys shooting, camping, wheeling, and most of all....eating!

Jamie has been tearing down and rebuilding vehicles since he was 15 years old and has worked as a professional auto mechanic specializing in repairing Hondas and Toyotas.  He finally went back and got his Mechanical Engineering degree and has worked designing rockets, jet engines and PDAs before moving on to do his MBA.

Although you won't see too many offroad mods from him, the mods he does do are usually of a more practical nature.  He's more likely to give you advice on how to solve that pesky engine misfire, help you figure out why your motor overheats or walk you through troubleshooting steps using an OBD scan tool than to tell you where to mount your Hi-Lift jack.

He enjoys hiking, scuba diving, mountain biking, jetskiing, surfing and of course the occasional offroad trip (but it's usually on the way to get to one of the aforementioned activities). He's always got sort of home improvement project underway is happily married along with one son who appears to have alot in common with his Dad.

You may not be able to tell it by looking at him, but Chris would rather go hungry than spend an entire weekend on a paved surface.

Chris was born and raised in the southeast, just outside of Atlanta, but he's no city boy. He grew up spending his weekends and summers in the woods, camping and hiking, and eating, of course. From an early age he was always into the outdoors and finding out of the way places with his family, and especially with his dad. Chris continued his love for the outdoors through his adolescence, but didn't become interesting in wheeling until his early twenties. He rode around in the woods in his daily driven 2004 Tacoma PreRunner, and watched the 4WD's and beaters have all the fun and he was hooked. He purchased his first "Rig" a bone stock 1984 4Runner with a fresh rebuild under the hood. He set about modifying it, and now he and his girlfriend Cort are the ones in the beater having all the fun... mostly due to a total lack of regard for body damage.
