Here are some pictures I took on Friday 10/12 before I left.  As I was leaving Friday night I got pulled over on the beach for driving 30 in 15, well they let me go with a warning after half-hour of making me wait.  His pen didn't work shake.  I saw a few 4runners going toward camp.

This thing was stuck and it was interesting watching three trucks trying to yank it out.

I had a great time thumbup

Here is my contribution. Really only took pics at the jump spot, but that was where it all was going down. The Wife and I had an awesome time. It was good meeting everyone and we cant wait for next year.

**** For those who have pics of me jumping, PLEASE email me the hi-res versions of them all. Whether they are good or bad, i want them. I would really appreciate it. TIA. ****

Also, if anyone wants hi-res unwatermarked versions of what i posted, let me know and i will make it happen. Only one condition,(mainly for Bruce) just make sure i am given credit for my crazy good photo skills if any of them are published. Trying to get famous here, ya know? Haha.

consider yourself lucky:  i was driving in with lance going b/n 20 and 25.  the beach cop roll cited me.  i'd take the 1/2 hour wait any day

ticket aside, it was a great trip.  i think it goes without saying that slosurfer (chris) put on one helluva show.  thanks to jen for doing a bang up job on organizing the kid's gifts and activities and donating her own time and money to buy those cool gifts for them!

it was good to meet up with everyone, especially guys and gals from other forums---something normally forums especially don't do well.  i didnt take many pics, but i had a chance to wheel w/ some folks and take some video.  ill try to figure out how to get Hi8 to digital asap! hillbill

Damn, the beach cops were being hard asses for sure. Gabe, aka Papa_Smurf, aka the guy the the blue FJ was pulled over for speeding and driving into the water. The cop chewed him out for a while and then let him go because it was 4:45 and his shift ended at 5:00 and he wanted to go home. Haha. You got screwed Bob. That sucks.

Here are some of the pictures I took this past weekend.
http://picasaweb.google.com/mezamichael/UltimateYotaPismoTrip2007

I'm new to the site and new to Picasa so bare with me. I had to rush and get these up and me clean before the wife comes home and finds me on the computer and sand all over the house. None of the pictures are watermarked, in any order or captioned. I don't have mad photoshop skillz but I can take out license plate numbers if anyone wants me to. Only 70% of the pictures are on Picasa. I have more but I need to take some time to look through them and I'll update the album. If anyone can't get the high res from the site or wants a copy of the photos let me know.

Thanks again for the fun event, new faces and toyota temptation. Most of my trip was spent behind Paddlenbike and his 4 Runner, thinking about how to get one. I'm still thinking so stay tuned.

Yeah, apparently you cant drive in the water at all. I didnt know that either. Oh well.

It did rain Friday evening/night. I arrived around 530 and began to setup camp. It started raining about half way into putting the tent up. That was kinda fun. Haha. We then hung out in the truck for a while, while it rained pretty good. It let up after 30 minutes or so and we then set up the rest of camp and were able to cook dinner. I went to bed around 900 and it then rained again for a while a little after that. It wasnt too bad though.

i just got back, ill throw up what little pictures i got tomorrow morning when i unpack. i cant believe i made it home on one tank of gas, with out the light coming on either!

anyway, i had SUCH a wonderful time with all of you and its nice to finally put some faces and names with screen names, even though i will forget most before im done with this post!

speaking of beach cops, last night escorting my friend in his ranger back to the pavement, i was doing probably about 20, they pulled in front of me and slowed down. guess i got lucky, he didnt even stop me.

thanks again for putting on a wonderful event! i came more for the people than the sand, the dunes were just a good byproduct of wanting to meet people!

My computer worked great, even while jumping my truck (while no one was looking OF COURSE!), console is nice, but needs to be shortened, and sleeping platform worked beautifully! all in all a great trip, capped off with a wonderful splash cafe bread bowl!!!

and as always, i will end my post with a carnage report.

torn lower plastic valence on front bumper - pulled out and its as good as new besides the tear.
loose bumper bolt on front, fixed.
6 diet dr. pepper cans exploded in the cooler from bouncing around with apparently sharp icecubes.
1 package of tortillas, slightly damp from the cooler.
bruises from sleeping on a plank of wood in the truck.

thanks again guys, i look foward to wheeling with ALL of you again, hopefully very soon!

Mike, it was good meeting you man. Good pics also. I downloaded the few you had of me jumping plus some. That rail rocking the wheelie is just sick. Haha.

For me:
-What I think is a rear main seal leak appears to still be there although I believe it is has slowed (have to remember to check the oil). At least it didn't get worse.
-Front bumper is tweaked and missing a couple of mounting bolts
-PA speaker is MIA. I had it for awhile but it's gone now.
-Dent in the rear rocker that I'm sure wasn't there before.
-Some front fender "re-tubbing" from my the tires.
-And right now some crazy gas. I should eat a salad.

Oh and half way home I pulled a bunch of sand out of my air cleaner (actually from both sides of the air filter). We'll see if that results in any carnage.
