Those look like good 5 speed numbers. If one was to attempt to compensate for the auto's OD, you could multiply your final result by (.85/.71) or 1.197. 33's would then be 4.88*1.197 or 5.84 where 5.71 is the nearest match.

That just makes me debate 4.88's or 5.29's even more if I were to go with 35's. Stock or more power/decreased mpg.

Sounds like a winning setup. I put 4.88's in when I had 33's and a 22RE, big increase in power. I put a Supra motor and went to 36's, I knew I needed gears, I just powered through. I put the 4.3 in and I still hit the O.D. not a prob. I will be going to 5.29's and maybe different axles. I don't trust 5.71's without a bigger ring gear.

You know 5.29's and 5.71's have the same pinion right? That's what usually breaks.
