Threw a red Cree led in the map dome light. It's actually pretty handy and very bright. It's great for seeing around the cab while keeping your night vision. Thinking about changing the switch to a little push button but have to find the right one.

Re: 4x4Mike's 1999 4Runner
My 4Runner came with the factory fogs mounted in the bumper. These are made by Kioto and are similar to the the Hella Mirco DE. After market Mirco DE's are longer and the H3 bulb enters the housing through the rear of the light where as the stock Kioto H3's enter through the bottom of the light housing. The longer housing allows for an HID retro fit so I ordered up a pair of the lights and a 35 DDM kit in 4500K.
New housings. The lens say Hella on them where as the stock ones don't say anything on the glass.

The bulb enters the rear of the housing and is covered by a large rubber cap.

This is what they look like out of the box. H3 bulb held in with the typical Hella clip. I removed the clip and made my own spring with some mechanics wire. The clip doesn't work with the DDM bulb.

Finally got around to installing my 2m HAM radio. It's a Yaseu 2800m and decided to put it in the dash which means I had to figure out something with the CB that was there.

This unit has a downward firing speaker and I can hear it fine so until I need to I'm opting not to plug in an external speaker. The 2800 is a great little radio and I've had fun listening in on a regular basis to roundtables and club meetings.
I went for a mag mount antenna as my roof leaves few options for a hard mount. I went with Larson for the NMO mag mount, 1/2 wave and 1/4 wave whips. So far I run around with the 1/4 wave and it receives great. I haven't noticed better reception or distance with the taller 1/2 wave but it might be different once I start transmitting.

The TJM bumper has been nice. It has a much lower profile and approach angle which was nice at Pismo and recently in the snow. I was able to break trail without worrying about bending or breaking any plastic. The bumper and skid plate pushed over and packed down ice and snow. Our friends 4th gen drug a lot of plastic.
