Wow, that bed is really flexing hard on the Tundra over those bumps.
You said it! :yikes: One case where a straight rear axle is not your friend...
The Video is a tad biased don't you think?
A video of a ford demonstration to show off ford.
It cant possibly be rigged or anything.
Love the bolt video too. What did they do go pull a bolt off an F550?
I hate to say it but my buddy has a ford f150 and they do use some big bolts on there suspension and box's, but ya if thats a ford video then of course they are going to choose the best parts to show off for demo.
wow interesting video... though i'd say you can choose a book by it's cover on the bolt video.. no where in that video do they describe the true shearing strength of the bolt so you're basically comparing apples to oranges.
It would be interesting to see which ones were useing street suspension and which ones had offroad suspension. I can see where an empty truck bed with some stiff bilsteins could shake it like that versus a more street like softer suspension. Also, did you notice that when they had all three showing from the rear, the tundra was the only one actually keeping a straight line.
Yep. It goes to show that there are trade offs. The Toy had bed flex, but kept the back end closer or on the ground more so it seems it would be more stable. The Chevy was pretty stiff so it was bouncing all over the place.
That amount of bed movement is not encouraging. Oh well, at least it could beat the Chevy, Dodge and Ford at the pull test:

I would be pissed if I bought a new truck and found out later that this is how my truck had been broken in.
I would have liked to been there to see that demonstration.
