Man I wish I was going!! Have fun and be safe!
Got the badly cut wheel wells fixed today! Used a 3in wide piece of aluminum to straighten and stiffen the area, and Pacer fender flares....looks a lot better and no more sharp edges for the kiddos.....
New distributor cap, rotor, wires, plugs, alternator, tp sensor set, throttle body cleaned, and base idle set.....running as good as my yota!

Not going to change it much...I like it! I am planning a front locker and transfer case gears in the future.
For now I am going to take care of some loose ends....replace broken core support, tune...
Picked up a new project yesterday. 1985 4runner built for the desert!
It has a high output 302 from an 87 Mustang mated to a C4 auto trans. Has stock toy t-case with Advanced Adapter plate. Rear...
I have put this on my calendar...put me down as a probably.
There are so many awesome breweries here in San Diego now...I have a whole bunch of favorites.
Awesome pics!! I have been trying to make it there for years....3 4runners later, I still haven't been :(
As far as knocking on Lance's door...his would have been the first one I would knock on. I...
Sorry that happened Sean...but there is always that chance. That is part of the reason I parted with my gold 4runner. It was only a matter of time before I rolled that one...and I always had kids...
You might talk to the guys at SD Trux, or TLC Auto Repair....I cant vouch for either one myself, but have heard good things
I saw that on CL and almost called the guy...thing is sweet!
Had a chance to paint and install the RCI skidplates that have been sitting in my garage for a few weeks....
...
Great pics and adventure Sean! Let me know when your next trip there will be...I will do my best to make it
I see them everyday at work...I like them, but it took a while. It was the same for me with the 4th gens. I still think the 2nd and 3rd gens are the best looking, but the 3.0 sucks and the 3.4 is not...
I really like the Kelly Safari TSR...I ran them on my 3rd gen. They were super quiet, wore very well, and the price was right. I put about 25k on them, and they still had a ton of tread left.
Cool vids...I had seen the water crossing one already, but the "hard spot" one was crazy
This year is has the worst coverage I can remember....thank goodness for the Dailymotion.com vids
I like the kickouts on these sliders because they are not too big...I think the All-Pro ones are way overkill.
Thanks Bob!
All painted up and ready to rock..

My buddy Josh welded up the sliders today...the look great! Very well made, and fit perfect...thanks Adam from 4x Innovations
Now I just need some paint..

I put them in for towing....I have a heavy pop-up trailer, and small jet boat I tow. The 3rd gen had a really hard time pulling the pop-up.
Man what a bummer! Hope it works out in your favor.
So I installed the lift today...gave me about 3.5 inches up front and 2 inches in the back with airbags deflated.
Lift consists of OME 90000 front struts with OME 885 coils, stock FJ rear springs...
Tundra was cool, but I decided I dont like car payments...plus 14-15mpg was getting old.
I picked up the 03 to do some light wheeling and to pull my pop-up and little jet boat when I need to.

After about a 6 month break from owning a 4runner 4x4, I am back in one....
Picked up a clean 2003 V6 SR5 with 120,00 miles. Not sure what my longterm plans are, but I am going to get some sliders...
