Do you have any profile pics showing the vertical distance between your sliders and the bottom of the door?
The carpet on mine is stapled in with a 3/16" staple. I just went to the edges, not over and tucked.
My .02, the staples are a much better solution for a few reasons.
1) Not nearly as messy to...
