My hood used to rattle a bit, turned out to be the hinge pins. I just rotated them 180 degrees and it's been fine ever since.

Well I for one will accept the growing pains anytime to have the wealth of information and experienced opinions back at my disposal! You really don't know what you've got until it's gone!
Nope it's been good!
My OEM one died last month and with all the accessories and towing the travel trailer etc. I needed something better.
Went in easy except for the cut finger part (note the blood by the top bolt). It has a different plug on it than OEM but no worries, it came with the adapter for it!

Alright, for those who are on Facebook my bud Jason posted a pic of his truck on the 4WDrive facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/4WDrive . If you go and "like" it he can get featured in the...
Ok people, so after many months of frustration and pulling my hair out, I finally got to the bottom of my high idle problem.
Just to recap, my rig would idle at 1700 ish even after it was up...
We ended up turning around there but he had to try it!
Here's the vid of our trip out Red Rose: Red Rose 4X4 Trip 2012 - YouTube
Went out for a nice drive to Doreen last Sunday.... Here's the vid... http://youtu.be/0GlELdPaEEM?hd=1
Turns out it was the RIGHT REAR wheel bearing! Go figure! :headscratch: I blew the right rear seal on my way home from picking up our travel trailer the other day and after replacing the 2 seals and...
So, I noticed today that the sound seems to be coming from the drivers side. It also seems to NOT be speed dependant! The (whoop... whoop... best way to describe it) sound seems to carry the same...
Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the POV cam (I have a Drift HD170). It's not a clunking noise though, it's more of a growling sound. I'm going to try a few things tomorrow and see what I...
I can't really tell which side it's coming from. I doubt it's the R&P as it's doing it in 2wd with the front diff not turning. (ADD)
So I recently started hearing an odd noise coming from the front end somewhere. It sounds like tire noise only with a metallic tone to it if that makes any sense. I also feel a small high speed...
I tried to copy and paste it over here but it's loaded with picks and wouldn't work. So, here's the link: http://www.yotatech.com/f2/fj80-coils-air-bags-240833/
Well I went and ordered a set and installed them. I posted all the pics and descriptions on that other forum. I'd post the link here but I'm not sure if that's cool or not?
Okay, X-Tool Pimp ... spit it out... what exactly are you trying to tell me?
Well maybe I should just stick with my first plan and go with the 4.88's then. It'll keep me pretty much as close to the stock set-up as possible with the 35's. Thanks for the help guys but you're...
Well I think I'm going to go with the 5.29's. I drove to work the other day in 4th gear and revving around 2600 rpm which is where I'll be with 5.29's and the 32'' tall studded tires and it wasn't...
It'll be about 4000lbs dry.
You know I just thought of that today! I'll try it out tomorrow
