    Good, tough video camera advice

    Gents,

I am not sure if this is the right place, but it gets more traffic.

I take a lot of training videos related to my lumberjack stuff. I have been using my old Sony Digi cam on video mode....

    Re: Recent Dealings with Inchworm

I assume bearings, seals, etc. cost something, particularly if using OEM.

I am impressed a shop would rebuild a diff and turn it around that fast from a core, I understand some shops have units...

Re: Tundra Towing, What and How Much?

Missed this while the eye was down.

The links with prices for mileage and comparable parts is interesting. At the time I got mine, I could get a lot more TRUCK for the money getting a diesel, but...

    Re: OMF Beadlocks?

I have OMF locked American Eagle rims for about 45k miles or so without issue.

Get the rock rings, it keeps the bolts happier after you rub them on rocks if you need to reassemble.

    Re: Rear diff is screwed

With as much height as you have, I assume your front end would be pissed.

As was said, you need a rear diff to go in the stock form.

    BMW, eh?

    Re: Video Creation Software

I know it is not the best interface, but it is what I have used and is free.

I usually use Firefox, so I loaded up IE, went to the pages and updated. No WMM to be found. I must be missing...

Re: On Owning Evil Black Guns, A Primer

Lance, did the response make sense?

I guess the first post was not entirely clear.

The conversation turned to these, by saying that "I didn't understand" there was not an implicit judgment that...

Re: On Owning Evil Black Guns, A Primer

Around my house a hand cannon would not be effective at solving home invasion issues. I would prefer a short barreled shotgun.

Around camp, a hand cannon is a lot more usable for home invasion.

Re: On Owning Evil Black Guns, A Primer

The US and UN have told other countries, not even US civilians that they are not allowed to have chemical and nuclear weapons. Those arms, I think, are beyond this argument.

    I understand the part...

Re: On Owning Evil Black Guns, A Primer

Fat fingers got in the way of the acronym.

I understand that some military weapons, in the hands of civilians, are used to punch paper. I lived at the Whittington Center for a summer, watched some...

Re: On Owning Evil Black Guns, A Primer

And so the rights part of it gets to me.

I have a right to own the guns that I want to own so that others can own guns too.

What about the people who own those weapons to fight the government...

On Owning Evil Black Guns, A Primer

I drink beer and talk to people, of all the things I do in life, it seems to be what I have proven best at.

Related to the graduate study I do, people often ask me thing I regard as silly that are...

    Video Creation Software

    Gents,

I have been away but have two new and important-ish ideas.

First, I make a lot of videos from my lumberjack training. Most of these are filmed in chunks and get posted as three or four...

Re: Free Truck Stuff in Colorado

Let me know what you want, I will take a deeper inventory tonight.

Want to risk a random box of stuff?

I think there is a fair lead that might be worth something more.

    List pending,...

I still have some rock lights and assorted truck bits sitting around up here. Anything you need?
  19. Re: Problem Solving Help/Logistical Trucking Question

    Thanks Reggie.

I will not go to a truck stop and start asking random people about getting wood, that is a recipe for a social disease.

There are no trees long enough and with adequate diameter...
  20. Problem Solving Help/Logistical Trucking Question

    Gents,

Say a guy had 5 trees in Montana that were 75 feet long, at least 3 feet in diameter on the stump end, freshly cut so pretty heavy, not sure on actual weight.

    Say that same guy wanted...

Re: need opinons on cost of custom bumpers

Comparing to off the shelf pieces price wise is foolish.

Around here, it is a rare shop that bills at much less than $60 an hour. Figure at least 10 hours in a bumper with plate, maybe less in...
  22. Re: Tess Ultimate Solid Axle Swap Planning Thread Take 2

On a full bodied truck, you have things like frame and body that limit where you put links and coilovers. You also have a heavy, bodied truck above the links and coilovers. On a tube car, the...
  23. Re: Not going to lie, it's been a while since I've posted pictures!!!

Looking good. Killian is a photog of sorts as well, I am always amazed at what a person with good gear and a keen eye can do.

I forget what it is called, but a buddy could surf the wake right out...
  24. Re: Tess Ultimate Solid Axle Swap Planning Thread Take 2

I have been on part of the UA and worked on two of the rigs. It is an interesting goal.

Links and coilovers on a bodied truck are not getting the most out of any part of the equation.

    Eric has...
  25. Re: Tess Ultimate Solid Axle Swap Planning Thread Take 2

Mini knuckles, 30 spline Longfield, hub gears, etc. will handle all the tire you'll ever want and have cheap/easy high steer.

80 knuckles will handle more, but have more complicated and expensive...
