    Re: MTZ's vs. Destination MT's

I've had the Destinations and didn't think they cleaned out too well. They also lost traction easily during wet weather. I got them for a good price at the time and that's why I got them (305x70x16's...

Re: Chopped roof idea for 4Runner

I know insurance wouldn't be that much, but I don't have a place to keep a 3rd vehicle and it's just another vehicle where some part could go bad or fail, plus it would be stock, whereas my 3rd gen...

Re: Chopped roof idea for 4Runner

I will not be doing this personally. If I go through with this, it will be done by a local off-road shop with experience in building buggys, cages, etc. I do want a 1st gen, but don't want to have to...

More or less, I want to replace the roof sheet metal and rear glass with a removable canvas top, I've also been toying the idea of trying to add a truck style tailgate and eliminating the rear hatch,...

Re: Chopped roof idea for 4Runner

I have seen his 4Runner and I like his chop, but I was hoping to keep the cargo area covered instead of a truck bed style like he made his. After looking at a few jeep pictures, my idea would be...

Re: Hella 4000s converted to HID

    Re: re-gearing question

It depends on what size tire you will be running. For 3rd gen 4Runners, 4.88's are a good match for 35's, 4.56 for 33's (these are all arguable depending on if you tow).

    Re: ARB Compressor Alternative Idea

I just got 2 MV1050's off Amazon for $26, so chances are i'll either use both for tires and get an ARB compact for the locker (just for ease of install) or use 1 for locker, 1 for tires
