I had a similar problem after I replaced the master in my 85 runner the pedal felt great for a week or so and then it went squishy and I traced it back to my wheel cylinders… as corax said it might...

nice clean up on the frame man looks like the day it rolled off the show room floor...

had a simular problem with mine when i got it 85 22re didnt want to start when it did start sounded like heli. soo plugs wires cap and rotor later runs like a beast..

haha try checking the timing...

what kind of soft top is that ?? just trying to find a good soft top for my 85???

I know on ym dads car same things happened exact same and he just took the door pannel off and sprayed a whole bunch of krown on all the lock mechanism and it hasnt been a problem since..
