i dont think it is needed the front skid runs to the rear of the a arms (that's where all the important stuff is)
keep the droops stock and use the low pro bumps

i run the MOE torsions, BJ spacers, TC brace, Downey idler brace and dual shock set up, my rear is all...
i run the BJ spacers with OME torsions (not as stiff as the 26mm) and i wheel it a few times a week without any problems
