They are 3/8" so they are thicker by a good bit. I didn't think the 1/4" would flex much though.

That does make sense. I was only thinking about it from the angle that I could flatten the tabletop. I do believe it will work for the time being.

So I finished the table....kind of at least. It's on wheels which is a big improvement over dragging the table around. I tried everything to get the bend out of the 1/4 plate but it still has a 1/8"...

After dropping 1k plus in tools in order to do welding this is news I could use lol. I've usually got a fair amount of down time....but not a whole lot of spare cash to go with it.
