    Re: 22R Crank Seal Removal

Appreciate the input. Will update later.

Unsure of pulley wobble causes. I have fought it since I've had the truck. I've replaced the pulley before and torqued it down proper only to have a wobble...

    22R Crank Seal Removal

The ever-wobbling crank pulley has begun spewing oil from the front seal yet again.

Getting to the seal is not a problem, removing it is. I have tried replacing one before for grins, only...

    Re: Wheeling at Bob's

Does that pushbar not get in the way when trying to get the front wheels up on stuff?

Guess it didn't matter here though.

    Re: 22RE Randomly Dying

I have checked both the EFI relay and the circuit opening relay.

    Both are fine.

    Re: Gear recommendations

I got Yukons and they have not broken. So I guess they are a good gear.

Everyone on the internet raves about Precision Gear.

    Re: 22RE Randomly Dying

    Yes.

Now it will run without the jumper sometimes. Strange.

Thinking about doing something like what RB did:

    I think that's...

    Re: 22RE Randomly Dying

I put in a new Toyota fuel filter I guess about 5,000 miles ago.

For some reason it's not running unless I have the +B and Fp terminals jumped.

Going to start on replacing the fuel pump...

    Re: 22RE Randomly Dying

Loosened the cold start injector bolt, and pressed the AFM flap again. This time I got a constant fuel spray.

The +B to Fp jump works as far as checking the fuel pump. It came on fine, but sounded...

    22RE Randomly Dying

    Hola.

As mentioned in the subject, my junk (94' Toyota Truck, 22RE) has randomly died three times now in the past week.

I'll be driving with no signs of any problem, press the clutch and the...

    Re: U-joint replacement?

    I tried changing a u-joint last month.

The only thing I managed to do was destroy a couple of my impact grade sockets and an extension. Oh, and get pissed off.

    Re: seat belt locked!

I don't like the idea of trying to repair a seatbelt.

    But that's just me.

    Re: seat belt locked!

You will most likely have to replace your seatbelt. That might cost you well over $100 new.

I wouldn't recommend trying to work on it - One wrong move and the spring looses all of its tension.

Fairly easy to drop the transmission? Seems heavy.

    Re: Fitting 35's without Lift

No pictures to prove it has been off pavement, but it has been wheeled twice now.

Both times I tried climbing steep inclines with loose footing. Lots of bouncing and wheel spin, but everything...

You're not the only one with bent control arm brackets. Mine make cool popping noises when the arm moves. Take off the arm and bend the bracket back in place with a crow bar.

    Re: Fitting 35's without Lift

    Alright.

BUT, lack of flex has never been the limiting factor. Gears and lockers have.

    Re: Fitting 35's without Lift

How am I limiting the flex? I'm clearancing for flex, hence the cutting. The suspension is stock.

    Not sure what you mean.

    Re: Fitting 35's without Lift

Guess I just don't see a need to lift the truck if tires are clearing fine? You're running a flexy suspension up front. I'm not.

Don't see what the big deal is to do some cutting and welding.

    Re: Fitting 35's without Lift

Flex is not existent up front, but the rear flexes well.

Still far from finished cutting everything, bed included. The rims are 4" backspaced, and look like they will stuff the rear tires nicely....
