Yep...I'm keepin' my fingers crossed with the Zuk Cryo'd 8" and PP shafts.
You can take it off and pound it out a few times before it needs replaced... :D
Cheese, that's the set up I plan to get into next fall. Probably a 2004 or so, V8 4x4 and a 14 foot trailer. Something to haul the F-Toy around comfortably. I'll use the 4Runner til then, but I don't...
Actually, after a few rocky trips in the 4Runner the MTZ's are showing some signs of chunking.
Anyone listening? :screwy:
I am not sure how many of you check Pirate4x4 so I wanted to share. It seems that the Military is interested in expanding a base and perhaps take over part of Johnson Valley, CA "The Hammers".
...
I got this too. Thanks for posting it.
We should also turn some attention to the Hammers. The military seems interested in the land. Check the link in my signature.
Hold up better?
It fell off...listen you asked for feedback. I was honest.

Personally, I don't think the bumpers look that great. Are they made from exhaust tubing?
I do appreciate the work you must have put into them. I know its challenging...
I have low profile bump stops...and heavily trimmed fenders and fire wall :)
I took about 1" off of the body seam at the rear of the wheel well. I also build the rear bumper to have more clearance.
For the record, my 315's rub the top of the rear inner fender.
I can change my Manual Hub CV in 30 mins or less on the trail.
Or, if I can get off the trail in 2 or 3wd I don't have to change it till I want to. Hell, I've run the truck for a month without...

3.83 (First Gear) x 2.566 (Stock case) x 4.7 (Marlin) x 4.30 (Gears) = 199:1

F-Toy
3.95 (First Gear) x 2.28 (Stock case) x 4.7 (Marlin) x 5.71 (Gears) = 242:1
:tongueout:
I have an 04 Taco front diff with 4.10's only 40k miles. $150 + shipping.
Get these from Toyota if possible.
When you remove the oil filter this area usually gets soaked with oil. If someone doesn't do a good job of cleaning up it will look like this over time. Plus, I can see a drip of oil coming from the...
Thanks all!
I had a great camping trip with the family in the Santa Fe National Forest.
Now we are off to Las Vegas to finish out the Birthday week!
After years of abuse I finally replaced my stock skid and tank (it's nice having a gas guage again). I used a junk yard stock skid and welded a piece of 3/16" diamond tread to the bottom. It came out...
I'll play
They look good and the Nittos work very well in a lot of conditions.
All of mine were fine at 125K
[/quote]How do you determine if the tensioner and pulleys are still in good condition?
I think it is recommended to replace the cam seals, crank seal, the 2 idler pulleys and the tensioner at the same time.
IMO, you shouldn't even think about SAS until you have driven a double locked, low range truck.
Cheese is right...I can go more places in my truck than I am willing to go with sheet metal and...
