    Portable air compressor

After about 7-8 years of use, my trusty MV50 compressor died yesterday

What are you guys using these days?

    Re: Portable air compressor

Old Craftsman here at our newly bought place, a 100-ish (125??) gal @ my Dad's, and a 150 at the shop, all 3 are Craftsman, not by choice, just price b/c they're 110v.

As soon as we switch out our recalled electric box in the garage and run my new 220v outlet out there I'll likely be going with this IR model since I get a good price through Costco. having to drive to the shop to break a tack'd chassis nut loose today was stupid and unexpected. Having a good compressor and good air tools solves so much.

Ingersoll Rand 60 Gallon Vertical Electric Air Compressor (5 HP)

Specifications: Model Number: SS5L5 Running HP: 5.0 HP Voltage: 240 Volts Phase: Single Phase CFM at 40 PSI 18.1 CFM CFM at 90 PSI 15.5 CFM Max Pressure: 135 PSI Dimensions: 20 in. x 30 in. x 71 in. Weight: 310 Lbs.

    Re: Portable air compressor

About a week ago I ordered one from Overland Warehouse's closing sale. Not sure how good they are, but for $30, I figured it was worth a try. Shipping was a bit higher than I would have expected, but maybe that is because of the hitch recovery point I ordered.

I've been wrenching and doing yardwork all day. My excuse, sorry. I meant to edit it when I realized it after replying. It's just I got tied up trying to chase Lil'One down and grab dinner...

..before 9:30pm our time. (Excuse: I was bonking big time.)

Dan got lucky and caught Andreis' going out of biz sale, I missed out big time so I've been looking at the CKMA's from ARB lately. Never tried to run one on continuous duty so i am curious to see what people are using now.

Still have a few of them things, we wereusing them at work and the guys broke them so I cannibalized them and have 2 working ones.

The things are really simple, if anything you probably just need a new relay. if you have the space and dont mind spending the cash (find it cheaper elsewhere)we got these at work: http://www.awdirect.com/12-volt-dc-a...r-compressors/ I can pump up a flat tire from 0-40 psi in about 30 secs.

    Busted.

Actually, I did see Troy's thread about the compressor, but I can't remember if I searched for it, or if I just randomly came across it.
