It seems I've got a shittuation on my hands... The past two winters or so I've noticed my driver side carpets were always damp/soaked.. just assumed it was snow getting under/through the mats, even though they're rubber. I think I even posted about it on here before. Well, it's the middle of summer, and my carpets are still damp. We had a heavy ("torrential downpour" some might say) rain about a week ago that I had to drive home through.. so I'm assuming it's from that.
Obviously, I want to get this taken care of soon because it's ruining my carpets, and also my truck is getting rusty from it. Granted the rust you'll see in the below photos have been there since I got the truck, it just seems a bit worse now for sure. My other problem is.. it looks like it's causing mold to grow under my carpets now. What the hell.. that's no bueno!
Looking for advice on how to remedy my problem. I'm thinking maybe there's not a good seal on the two drain holes under the driver side carpet up front. What are your thoughts? Do you concur that I've now got a mold problem too?
Where else might water be entering from if it's not the two drain holes?
