    Water leaking into cab

This afternoon I took my Tacoma to the car wash. After the truck was washed my front passenger mat has a puddle. Luckily I have Husky mats, carpets are still dry. Is this an easy fix? Is it worth fixing?

Hard to say. Where is it leaking from? Im willing to bet its near the heater box or something. Take a hose and go to town and figure it out if possible.

My 2nd gen had a leak at one of the grommets in the firewall. Might be worth a check.

Dan might be on to something there but without knowing exactly where the source of the leak it's gonna be a toughie to determine.

    Do you have a sunroof?

If the carpet was dry I wouldn't worry about it too much. Most complaints about water getting into the cab refers to a moldy smell and wet carpet. I'm wondering if water got in through a door seal or when a door was opened after the wash.

Was this a self wash thing or something where it's dried off by people afterward? If it's a self wash and you sprung for the dry it's possible the high powered blower pushed water in from somewhere. If it's dried off by people water could have gotten on the mats when they got inside or opened a door.

I currently get moist carpet on my passenger side and have no idea where it's coming from. For the time being I pulled the mat so the carpet is exposed to the air and can dry instead of being smothered. Just another problem to deal with in an aging vehicle.

For the passenger side your most likely leaks are the HVAC intake ducting coming in from outside or the firewall feedthrough for your engine's wiring harness. Those are probably the two best places to start looking...

My buddy has this happening on his Tundra, I think we have narrowed it down to the HVAC intake in front of the windshield. The seal in there gets worn out after a while.
