Prepped For Bumpstop Installation

i chopped the stock bump stop mount and grinded it all down nice and clean, then i prepped the strike pad for the curvature of the axle and clearanced it to go around the axle sway bar mount

so after finishing work early today i finished up my bump stop mounts. i took plenty of time to get the geometry right before i started welding. found placement and tacked them into place

cut out some gussets from 1/4" plate (way overkill but it was scrap pieces i had in the garage)

i liked the way it turned out buuuuut i then realized i didnt account for the sway bar! it would barely graze on its upstroke but i wanted to do it right the first time, so i chopped the rear gusset and boxed it in to clear the sway bar with plenty of room

im very happy with the end product, it came out very clean and very strong and everything lines up great!

i also decided that orange was quite working out for the coils because they would catch alot of dirt during driving so i painted them with VHT Chassis Black. i highly recomend this paint to anyone painting frame parts and what not. it can be found at kragen/o reilly/ checkers for about $7.99 a can

i also painted the axle again with the Vht
