    new from so cal

Just checking in from so cal north fontana. I have a 96 4runner 4x4 that i just picked up with 285/75/r16 km2 a month ago. I just installed icon coilovers in the front and in the process of getting toytec superflex coils for the rear. I had a 92 4x4 that i had for two years with a lot of upgrades. Great forum that i have lingered around reading and thought i would finally join. Look forward to running into people out on the trails.

Welcome to the forum. We are pretty active in SoCal, so there should be some good runs coming up!

Post up some pictures, we all love pictures!

Here she is the day before she was actually mine. A good friend of mine called asking me what they go for, I told him I would buy it not having seen a picture yet lol.I saw the pictures and she was mine 18 hours later. The front and rear bumpers i am almost possitive are homemade by someone. The quality is pretty good and i am sticking with them for now. I have a set off all pro sliders i never installed in my 2nd gen that i am going to install. The suspension was all stock and felt like a boat on the high seas. I found some used dh/icon coilovers for the front(night and day difference) and the rear i am going with toytec superflex. Anybody running the toytecs have any input?

My old second gen. I put a lot of blood and sweat into it. My brother has it now so i can still drive and see it every once in while. This picture was near lone pine off the 395 .

This was last week on a day trip to big bear. Just drove 3n16, nothing hard since i had the kids and wife with me, and a buddy in a armada.

If you click on the event planning subforum, there is yet another subforum for California. Or use this link: http://www.ultimateyota.com/forumdis...?42-California

Any major trips we do will be posted there. Some of us will go on spur of the moment runs, but those are much less common and really something that is more like calling up a buddy to go hang out at a bar.

That reminds me, I need to post up for the coming Mojave Road Expedition, and the "beyond the Mojave Road" expedition. sounds like something fun to do while I'm sick!

Someday, I will load my shit on my trailer and come out there...

When I win the lottery. Course my rig isn't likely to be to comfortable out there, not really built for expedition wheeling, and definitely not any high speed desert runs...
I would still do it though, crawler or not, it would be worth it.
