Would have been nice to meet someone else from the forums but needless to say, I'm trying to spend some time with the wife and kid. If he's up to it I might throw some money at Krypto while I'm gone to get my rig ready while I'm deployed though. Hopefully hit some of the runs when I get back.

I am always down to wrench man. Just gotta know what you're wanting and I can make it happen....as long as you don't want me to weld. I need more practice at that lol.

In other news FedEx and UPS have apparently joined forces in delaying my packages.....so now I'm Fed Up. Right now wrenching is the only brake I get from the in-laws.

However if there's a CBI sticker in there I will be appeased.

I did the ditch light harness today and have that ready. I'm considering installing the locker and regearing the front before the Colorado trip. I could always get the rear axle out again for the disc brake mod and rebuild the axle then. Plus I would just re-use the oil when I did it.

I am going with Lucas for the gear oil and redline mt-90 for the cases. Doing the elocker and regear also allows me to do all of the bushings since they are pretty much shot.

Yipee! I got my mounts and I even got to install them. The rest of the time was spent trying to get the ditch light single switch surround off of the switch so I could add it to the 4 switch panel that I made. No wiring work done at all. It was such a beautiful day too so naturally everything popped up all at once. I will say that these ditch light mounts are built really well. I don't plan on taking direct artillery fire but if I do....the ditch lights will remain in place.

Well I've been a busy guy....but not with mods. I made very little progress but progress none the less. The wiring is still getting finished but I am finished with the mounts, lights, and putting everything back together. But I return with pics lol.

Stickers are the most important thing here. Like I said before these things are stout. Easy as pie to install minus wrestling around with the cowl.

Since I was taking the cowl out I thought it was an excellent opportunity to paint the cowl since it had been badly sun faded. Plasti-dip to the rescue.

These mounts install on top of the hood hinges so one at a time is a good way to do this. All that you have to do is remove the old bolts and put in the new.....oh and unbolt the fender so you can nudge it out of the way.

Now at least I can work on making room in the dash for this.

All done. Just gotta catch up on the wiring. I have to reconnect the CB and the rear cigarette lighter that I re-wired for full time 12v. Then I have to plan how exactly I'm going to pull off the elocker retro and a regear in one weekend. All I have left to buy is the MT-90 and the Lucas gear oil and I am golden. I am fairly certain I could finish the rear in a day but I'm not sure if I have enough time to do both.

Another late night update. Wiring is coming along nicely and I am glad that I took the 5 minutes to look at the e-locker harness Sean was nice enough to drop by. I would have to get into everything I am into now so I retraced my steps and ran the extra wire needed for the elocker out to my fuse box. The part that had me worried though is over. I always hate trimming interior pieces just because I want it to look perfect. Without further ado.....mod porn.

Just some closeups of the wire run I chose to employ. If you plan on installing lights and haven't yet....it's a lot of wire so organize it.

Fuse box finally done. It's easy to wire but it is on the unforgiving side if you do not perform good crimps and a wire backs out on you. My particular weakness is 20-22ga.

It's finally starting to look full back there.

The extra wires unplugged are for expansions with switches. I figured I might as well run all the wire for relays that I could.

This is the part that I was dreading. It took patience and most of the work I did with an exacto knife and it worked well. Plastic was fairly pliable.

The tan is off.....but I didn't think it looked too bad. I wanted the switches to be the only black like the rear locker switch above. The picture is upside down for some reason.

The madness continues.....I found my switched 12v and I am fairly certain I found the parking light power wire so this is a good thing. I am using the parking light positive for providing the switched power on the fog lights so I don't accidentally leave them on. I am fairly certain I won't leave the LED lights on just because of how bright they are.

So I should have all the switches wired up tomorrow and then I can finish the back half of the wiring harness for the elocker after that.

Lots of progress today. In fact so much that I will be hooking them up after the temperature drops here in the desert. First time that I have made my own wiring harnesses from scratch. Pics are coming soon. Hopefully I am not troubleshooting later.

Success....well at least the lights work lol. I have not checked the rear locker yet. I am going out later for night time shots and final aiming. Sadly my garage door is a horrible place to do that as I have a 7 deg angle on my driveway (guesstimate)

Looks great. You certainly put some time into making some nice harnesses and I'm glad they all worked and you're not updating with a trouble shooting post.

    Looks great!

Doing wiring right the first time is so important!

Sadly there's no love on the elocker yet. I am going to double check my side of the wiring since I know the harness works. I never got the chance to test out the locker although I don't have a specific reason why it wouldn't. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's something simple I just overlooked though. The dash isn't lighting up either so I am thinking maybe I swapped up the switch and the fuse?

I think it's all the same for dashes since I can see the O/D light and ECT lights in mine. All of the lights work amazing though. I was very impressed with the LED lights and the fogs will help with lighting the road. I will get some night shots here soon.

The indicator light won't illuminate until the diff is actually physically locked. You may have to turn each axle output to align the splines. The motor only moves the spring that actuates the collar.
