I so agree. I didn't think my truck had a chance with its OEM tires but it slipped past the big rock on the left without any door damage and it went right up.
My next purchases, besides the Baofeng radio (which is coming on Friday), will be lower link skids (my left link took a bashing) and some sliders. I don't want to risk bashing in my doors and, plus, my tiny wife will be happy to have something to step onto now. Any suggestions on where to get these?
Despite what I said in the Emissions thread, I would LOVE to wheel in Cali.
Of course I'd likely need to build a different rig. I dont know how well my '84 rock crawler would fare on expedition style trips, although they look to be so much fun.
I need an old beat up 3rd gen... *sigh*

Assuming that anything strange in the desert had a logical purpose at one time is a mistake. There is some weird stuff out there.
