Thread: Vacuum hose sizes in engine bay?

  1. #11
    Bob,

Did you ever complete this project? I have the dreaded EVAP P0446 CEL and suspect it is due to a split vacuum hose. I'll tear into it this weekend, but will probably start replacing hoses for fun. After 20 years, they look pretty janky.
    2005 Lexus LX470 - Stock for now...

1998 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6 4x4 + a bunch of goodies. Lifted, Locked, Illuminated and Armored. Winner,"Best Offroad Truck" - 2010 Pismo Jamboree. It's been upside down and still drives me to work.

    Sean, et al:

Though I didn't capture all the hose lengths, here's the hoses that I bought that worked for my 98 4Runner. See attachment.

Of note, on our last outing (4 people in my truck w/ a full load inside and on top of the rack), my 4Runner got 19 mpg for the first time ever. I attribute this to driving at an avg speed of 55-60 mph. While it's ludicrous to say that the hoses had something to do with this, I can say that the performance and mileage *wasn't* compromised by these new hoses.
