    Gx470 vs jeep wrangler

Gx470 vs Jeep Wrangler unlimited off-road. I’d like an honest answer on this. I am really undecided about the two. Which is more capable and reliable off road? Which would hold more reliability second hand? How many mileages is too much for a used sale? ( specifically on roads like theses for 5 years at least )

    Thanks

    Jeep Pros:
    -Solid front axle
    -Available lockers front and rear

    GX470 Pros:
    -More low-end torque
-Far more reliable (especially compared to the jeep 3.6 V6)
-A bit more plush (if you care about that)
-Shares a lot of parts with the Prado (which would be a consideration with the overseas overland crowd)

Personally, I'd go with a GX, but I'm also a Toyota/Lexus fan. The guys on the Jeep forum would probably all vote for a Jeep...haha.

I'm sure this statement will shock my friends on this forum, but I can't find anything in Toyota's lineup the past 15 years that excites me at all. Naturally aspirated V6s and V8s that only make okay power, dismal fuel economy, and backed with boring slushy automatic transmissions. Perhaps that's why I still drive a 20 year supercharged manual 4Runner. If I had to choose between pretty much any Toyota SUV or a Jeep with a removable top and a manual transmission, I'd probably take that, reliability be damned. We only get one shot at this thing called life, so you might as well make it a fun one.

If its worth anything I'd vote for the gx as well. My parents just picked up a 2017 model and man is that thing nice. Also very solid feel to it. Honestly it feels like the 4runner I have.....only a helluva lot nicer on the interior and the ride is also superior as is the mpg. I run around 17 in the 06 4.7 v8 but my parents gx cruises at 75 or 80 and can still pull 20.
