you could go longer, but why risk it? i do it at every oil change as well, but thats a recent trend of mine. i didnt even know it could be done until a few months ago, so in my ownership, my truck went from May to Feb-Mar without being done, and i want to say the previous owner hadnt done it in a long time, if at all. its such an easy task, why not do it at every change?

ah youll be fine. like i said, i went close to a year without doing it just on MY watch, who knows how long the previous owner let it go. also, i can bet that most people on the road dont even KNOW to grease their driveshafts. i know i didnt until i started getting into the off-road scene.

jeesh guys, 2004? it doesnt take all that long. i would think that it needs to be greased atleast every other oil change. esp the spindle part

I know it doesn't take long but if you're on the street all the time it won't be sliding very much. Just one of the little things you can forget to do if it's not an immediate issue.

I would think that the necessity of that sort of maintenance is dependent on how critical of conditions your truck sees. Dust, mud, water, hard flexing, etc.
