How do you remove the cap blocking the hoodscoop?
Does the insulation need to be removed to do this?

drill out the rivets. remove the screen.
pull out the plastic cap and cut open the scoop. reinstall screen w/ SS hardware.
i left the insulation intact. still looks like new.

I actually left the everything on and just (cafefully) Dremel'd the blocked end with the hood off and upside down on saw horses. I did it such that there is a bit of a lip on top directing air down as it enters.
