Need a hook for my Amsteel Blue line

Well I cheaped out and ordered my Amsteel Blue winch line without a hook because I thought I could use the one off my factory line. The thimble is too wide though for it to work so now I'm hunting for a good hook. Any ideas?

Rockstomper says you may need a connecting link to use a smaller hook (see link).

I got their giant hook with safety clasp but if I could do it again I'd get their interlocking hook. The giant hook works, but it just looks cartoonishly large.

Almost forgot, on my first line, the thimble was too wide as well. I simply took a hammer and flattened it a bit so it would fit.
