Adventure Medical Kits

I'm trying to round-up all of the little things that I want to keep in the new Tacoma 24/7 and one of them is a good first aid kit.

I have done a lot of searching on here and other places and Adventure Medical keeps popping up.

Now I need a little extra help. AMK has several different types of kits. Most them of them wouldn't suit the kind of terrain that I would go camping in but there are two types that I think would be good.

http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/kit_series.asp?series=600&seriesNav=Dom"]The Sportsman Kits and http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/kit_series.asp?series=100&seriesNav=Dom"]The Mountain Kits.

I was originally planning on getting http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/kit_detail.asp?series=600&seriesNav=Dom&kit=601&ki tNO=0105-0288"]The Hunter Kit from the http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/kit_series.asp?series=600&seriesNav=Dom"]Sportsman series but after looking through some of the kits from the http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/kit_series.asp?series=100&seriesNav=Dom"]Mountain series, http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/kit_detail.asp?series=100&seriesNav=Dom&kit=103&ki tNO=0100-0118"]The Weekender Kit caught my eye. Seems like that one is more suited to the type of stuff that I will be doing.

Although http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/kit_detail.asp?series=100&seriesNav=Dom&kit=102&ki tNO=0100-0120"]The Fundamentals Kit seems to be the most popular, granted it's $40 more than either http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/kit_detail.asp?series=600&seriesNav=Dom&kit=601&ki tNO=0105-0288"]The Hunter Kit or http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/kit_detail.asp?series=100&seriesNav=Dom&kit=103&ki tNO=0100-0118"]The Weekender Kit.

In no way am I a serious off-roading/expedtion traveling kind of guy but I am the type of person that would rather be prepared for the worst and maybe not use half of what he has than go a shorter/cheaper route and not have what he needs.

I am hoping that all of them will fit behind the rear seats of my Tacoma.

Let me know what you guys think about all of these, $100 is more than I was originally wanting to spend but it'd be worth it on a good first aid kit.

    Thanks for the help!

Fink you links don't work..... But I would also suggest Galls, just do a search and you will find plenty of solid first aid and EMT kits. For what you are talking for as far as a first rate kit to keep the cost down buy the bag or kit of your choosing and then add gauze, ban-aids peroxide, alcohol and such yourself. get the more serious gear with the kit . but don't be supprised if you spend up-wards of $200.

Suchers and scaples, rubber gloves, hemostats, Quik Clot, (read instructions completely before use) are all good supplies to have. also trake kits. to open airways with can save a life. Good thinking though I think if you look in the (SPORTSMAN'S CORNER) you will find all kinds of good med kits. TJ

    Weird...I don't know they links aren't working.

I ended up caving in today and buying The Weekender --> http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/...itNO=0100-0118

Pretty sweet kit, fits perfectly in the storage space behind the driver side rear seat next to the Maglite holder.

I will check into some other ones...it doesn't hurt to have several different ones around.

    Thanks TJ!!
