    front driveshaft measurements 96-02 manual or automatic

    I have the new inchworm case in, but i have yet to put my diff in, i need some measurements compressed or fully extended fronts.

    if yall can do that for me, ill be greatly appreciated

    trying to get a feel for lenghts once I get the diff in this week and start measuring for real

    I would but theres no way in hell im going to remove those heavy as hell bud built skids to do so. Haha. Good luck getting those measurements. Maybe go to used car lot. That would be hilarious. Ha!

    Well i checked and the skids were actually not in the way. 30.5" from diff. flange to transfer case flange. Hope that helps.

    yeah, i checked some tacomas and it seems to be 26 inchs, you have an 01?

    ill have to get the diff in to make sure

    yep, 01. did you measure from flange to flange on the tacomas? that includes the u joints.

    yeah i did flange to flange

    01-02 have longer transmissions

    i have 01 2wd tranny coupled with inchworm 5:1 case, however I did use a stock 01 4wd dshaft, i have a 3 inch thick adapter inside the case which makes it bigger then stock, so im not sure how long my front shaft is gonna have to be.

    haha yea, I get my arb'd front 4.56 diff in the mail sometime this week, ill be able to tell what year ill need

    just wanted some ideas now

    You don't need a compressed and extended measurement. IFS diffs stay still. A ride height measurement should be enough, if that ends up close, finding out how close they sit to full compression just so you don't end up with the thing fully compressed for driveline twist.

    I thought the rear of the front third extended past the skid plate. I can't believe no one can go out easily and put a tape to this.
