Thread: Post CCW Training

    Re: Post CCW Training

Did that happen to be Front Sight? When I lived in CA, a friend out there went to a bunch of their courses.

I'm not sure on class size for the advanced class. I know when I took my basic CCW class, there was about 40 people. All 40 did the classroom portion together, and then the first 20 did the shooting portion the same day and the 2nd 20 did the shooting portion the 2nd day. I was thinking this was limited to 20 but can't find anything to back that up right now.

That was indeed Front Sight. I only took one course but would like to go again but the cost is just nuts.

I am just curious what the instructor-to-student ratios are like at other places.

Ask us about Utah, Florida, and Minnesota non-resident Permit to Carry Classes. If you possess these three permits along with your Iowa permit, you will be allowed to legally carry in 31 states across the country.

You have to go to a Sherrif's office in Minnesota every year to get it's non resident permit. I bet Mike Warman is excited about having the class those nights. he thinks he's over worked as is. LOL TJ

There's 12 people in the class. Last night was mostly classroom with dry fire exercises on the range. Tonight is all range time - should burn through at least 400 rounds.

Another excellent way to refine your post CCW training is by participating in International Pistol Association matches. http://www.idpa.com/

Maybe you can find a club nearby that has IDPA matches. They're alot of fun.
