help identify these plugs in my dash

so in searching for elocker wiring, i came across these two plugs, which match nothing ive seen on the net.

any ideas? they were taped/pushed up behind the dimmer knob.

thanks for your help, im sure someone knows what these plugs are!

I still say they are stuff plugs.......you stuff them back into the dash and forget about them.

The white plug is for mirror switch. Some 3rd gen 4runners had their rear-view mirror adjustment switch below the dimmer. That plug should match the plug in your driver door panel mirror switch. Learned about that a while back when I was reading up on using a spare mirror switch for winch control on TOF. I recently saw both of those unused plugs when I was wiring my cb antenna.

It was nice meeting you at Pismo 4RJ. BTW, is the agriculture dept at Cal Poly still good for wheeling?

edit: If you google "winch control mirror switch" and click on "Transalper's In-Cab Winch Control" you'll see info on it. Avoiding linking to TOF.

    sean,

one of those could also be the clutch cancel switch if you dont have a 5 speed tranny

thats what i was thinking, but ive read that the auto's had a different wiring harness than the auto's.

ohwell, not a huge deal, just like to know what things are in the quest for knowledge.

    thanks for your input!
