    Toyota Anti-Theft "chirp" won't work

Does anybody know if it's possible to disengage/engage the factory "chirp" for the anti-theft system? I have a 96 4Runner Limited and after the engine swap it won't work and I'd like to avoid taking it back to the shop that did the work.
    Thanks
    jason

Turned out to be a bad piezo buzzer. Bought a replacement from RadioShack and it's all good now.

    jason,

yeah those things go out. if you have time, you should solder the connections and not rely on the wire taps that they use to attach your alarm to your electrical system. i am convinced that this is the reason why many people arent happy w/ the rs3000---the other reason is the ridiculously short reception range of the remote to the trigger sensor. did you look at my rs3000 page at 4runners.org?
