    bflooks' 98 4runner sas

well, here is my junk. started off in the first picture a few years ago, and as of today, it looks like the last few. everything is still too new to have wheeling pics, but it is all breaking in and settling nicely. once i have the dual cases in, it will be on the trails again.

fj62 front axle, 30 spline longs, 5.29's, dual cases with a 2.28 and a 4.7, all pro hysteer, fj62 steering box, rear locker, 35" coopers, ballistic fab frame plating, trail gear 5" springs all around, bbcs shocks all around

yeah... so it has been a long time since i first posted up about my truck being sas'ed. i have since put the dual cases in, made the 12" travel front drive shaft, shortened the rear shaft, rerouted the exhaust and went with the magnaflow cat to save on space (thank god for no codes being thrown). i have also since moved the front axle another 4" forward of where it is in the last picture up top, am now running 15" bbcs shocks up front and 13" out rear, and i POR15'ed everything under the truck. it is finally done for now until i get the front locker and an exo done on it.

lee, the person who has done all of the welding on our trucks, and me went out 2 weekends ago for a quick shakedown run. no stills, just a single video. we went out again last weekend and things went really well again. my leafs are settling a ton, and all i have to do is relocate the washer reservoir and put a bumpstop on the driver's side to stop the draglink from hitting the output shaft on the fj62 steering box. i could extend the uptravel by moving the box back a few inches, but i have no desire to get in to that right now (getting married in september).

thanks to lee for bringing the camera and doing the editing.

this video is of the three trucks that were all done consecutively by scott (green tacoma), lee (black pickup) and me (in the 4runner). this was for my bachelor party, but there were about 14 jeeps ahead of us and 5 rovers. one of the jeeps broke, and everyone was stuck waiting, so we headed back shortly after to continue on with the day's festivities.

    anyhow, here is the video.
