    Supposed to be a safety sensor on the airbag though, you have to be going at least 35 mph for it to deploy.

    Not necessarily . . . IIRC, it needs to see an impact force indicative of ~35MPH hit. So if you're sitting still and someone hits you head on going 35mph there is a good chance it'll deploy
