2000 4Runner 4WD shifter boot... How does it attatch?

Just wondering how those things attach to the center console area... mine just lays there so you can see under the console and it's the one thing on the inside of my 4Runner that is 'broken'.. :/

Is it supposed to be glued? Or is there a particular way it goes so that it doesn't do that?

I'll post up a pic when I get a chance..

I felt like bumping an old thread. When I took the console off it was obvious that, like you said, it just snaps in. Problem solved circa 2008, but I just was looking at threads I've posted in, and seen this one! :P

id honestly like to get one made for my twin sticks. just so I dont have to look at a cut off boot that I used to fit the sticks in it. looks ghetto
