    Kayak Questions

I have noticed many of you on the forum are into Kayaking. I am becoming interested myself. I want one for fishing. There are many creeks and streams in my area that are full of bass and perch. In order for a good fishing trip you have to cover about 3 to 4 miles of water. In the past i have used float tubes form bass pro but i would like to know how a kayak would do. Water depth is anywhere from 2 to 8 feet deep. What kind of depth will i need for a kayak and is there any particular one that you would suggest? Any info would be great! Thanks

I don't go fishing with my kayaks but check out these sites for kayaks, I'm sure others will chime in.

    I go fishing with mine:

It's great, my only complaint is that it's not as stable (laterally) as I would like, but I'm going to fix that with some pontoons. You don't need more than 6-12" of water for it to work.
