1998 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6 4x4 + a bunch of goodies. Lifted, Locked, Illuminated and Armored. Winner,"Best Offroad Truck" - 2010 Pismo Jamboree. It's been upside down and still drives me to work.
So if I get some paint and bodywork, I should be able to win. Oh yeah I have to park it in a lot and liberally apply wax.
No, what I'm saying is I would think the votes would be based on how the vehicle is modified. Not whether or not it's parked on rocks or not.Originally Posted by 4runnerchevy

I used to be heavily in to the off road scene, but grew tired of spending money on parts for my Tacoma that were only used a few miles a month off road and thousands of miles a month driving to work each day making the truck drive like crap, so I'm done with that hobby. With my 4Runner I've focused on performance for every day driving and am much happier for it.

This is a more focused all around site, but due to the nature of voting...
Whether we designed the process to work on the merits of the vehicles themselves or not, people can vote any way they choose, and for any reasons..
Perhaps they have decided to always vote for SOCAL, or maybe the always vote against socal, maybe they dont like someones haircut, or whatever, tis the nature of the beast.
Lets try to keep it friendly.

My hat goes off to Casey for representing the few and far between 2.7L 4runners. Not to mention the 2-4wd conversion...with the 2.7L...most would have just upgraded to a 4x4 3.4L.
Nice Rig Casey!

A 2WD to 4WD conversion is pretty cool. What kind of gas mileage to you 2.7L guys get? I've never even seen a 2.7L 4Runner around my area.Originally Posted by Skrillah

Thanks for the props, guys!
I can get 20 mpg on a road trip if I am light on the pedal and there are no hills LOL
But really my average is 15-17. Its hard to get good mileage with all the added weight, 181,000 miles and 35" Intercos.
