veggie oil car ...not free after all

Apparently, in CA, it doesn't pay to drive veggie oil vehicle. You'll get hit with taxes..
What kind of tax you might ask? How about 18Cents road tax for every gallon of oil you burn. How about a license to transport kitchen grease away from eateries. How about 1 mill. in liability ins. in case of a spill while transporting. Not least, a permission from state Air Resources Board to burn fat.

This tax thing lead me to think....if I drive a car that use more gas, I'm paying more than a hybrid vehicle to use the same road , I should be the one using the the car-pool lane instead......LOL

not free anymore and i think thats ridiculous. just a way for the state to get more money then waste it else where

All that says is that there are too many useless and outdated laws.
Not sure why on earth you'd need $1M in liability coverage to clean up a cooking oil spill.

Then we should all have to carry $1M insurance just in case the oil in our engines leaks out onto the ground.

interesting article. I wonder how this is different from throwing your used cooking old and taking it to a facility to have it recycled? Or what about motor oil? I've got gallons of used motor oil that I transport once a year to local places to recycle.

yeah but since we live in the republic of kalifornia, they'll prob setup stings at the restaurant to fine us when we go to pick up the damn oil!

just run. they have plastic flashlights now, so they cant beat you. just make sure the news copter is over head. that way they cant hurt you at all.
