    4x4Mike's 1999 4Runner

Been here a little while and figure I should get a spot in the garage. I purchased my 4runner Christmas weekend of 2007. It's a '99 highlander edition and it had 84,000 miles on it. It has the 5 speed transmission and sunroof. As far as I could tell it had been partially babied and never taken offroad. The previous owners lived in the foothills so the 4 wheel drive was used on snow days.
I'm in the process of taking and compressing pictures of the work I've done so far, but below is a list.

Some may remember me from Pismo 4Runner Jamboree 2007 driving this
Less than 2 months later I bought this. Picture taken after a wash and running board removal.

    Electrical:
    -Constant 12V outlet mod
-Fog light mod and upgrade to 35w HID.
-Axillary fuse box in shifter tunnel for electrical additions
-Hard mount (ProClip) for Garmin GPS
-Dome lights modified. Front and rear have the factory bulbs switched out for Cree XR-e leds.
    Here:

    -Cree XR-e hatch light

-Cree under body lights for night wheeling and setting up camp (see above)

CB: Wilson Lil whip along with a Cobra 75 WX ST and home made mount for the mic.

-Yaesu 2800, 2 meter HAM radio installed in the DIN slot below the stereo. Pioneer DEH-P5000 USB head unit

    Performance
    -4" Deck plate mod
    -True Flow filter
    -URD short shift kit

    Offroad
-Stubbs standard 15 degree sliders, weld on with custom plates welded in
-Custom skid plates, basic but they work
    - York On Board Air

    Extras
-After market Hidden Hitch which is tucked right under the bumper
    - Yakima roof rack with Steelheads and Powderhound 6 and Custom inside bike mount
-Factory mud gaurds for the medium fender flares. Ditched the running boards
    -Gutted out side cargo storage
    -Ultimate Yota die cut sticker

    More to come.

I was up late one night and made a visit to the UY store.
This is one of the items I bought. As you can see I've used it already.

Just a few new pictures. I had just finished waxing it for the winter. Wanted to get all the little scratches out and everything clean. Not bad for 92,000 miles.

    Side, look at her shine:

    Hood Ornament:

Stubbs sliders with inserts welded in.

    Went to Pismo in November.

After a while I got the speed and line down.

It's been a few months but I got the OBA installed. I used the NWPF mount to mount a York 210 compressor. It's all underhood and I have an outlet under the front bumper and rear bumper, combined with a 1/2 gallon tank near the spare tire.

Freshly painted compressor after a heavy cleaning.

Got the flanges modified and intake and outlet sorted out.

Top view of the compressor. I had to cut, tap and cleanup the flanges. From the factory they have an automotive thread.

Here is installed after a day of moving components around.

Added a filter and tank near the rear spare.

Factory foglight switch for OBA control.

Replaced added rocklights to the underbody. They are Cree XR-e LEDS run at 500ma each, 6 total.
    Switches to control them.

Built myself a skid plate to replace the bashed up stock one. It's all 12 gague steel and extends back past the steering rack.

Had some time so I thought I'd update the garage. The 4runner has 105K on the clock and I've owned it for a little over a year and a half. One of the new additions is the roof rack. This will allow me to haul more junk into the backcountry and my wife to bring home more stuff from garage sales. It's the same one that CYi5 has.

Added some lights for some night time driving. Got a smoke'n deal on a set of Hella 500ff's.

    Added tint to the lens.

Also updated the headlights to the 21st century. The bulbs that came out were Kioto's so I'm assuming they were original (10 years old)because they left something to be desired.

Hard to tell but they are a whole lot whiter and as a result, brighter.
