Thread: The Blade/Knife Thread.

    Re: The Blade/Knife Thread.

I've been daily carying this case knife I found in my truck for the last couple weeks. I found it in my truck soon after I got it last march. I just disregarded it cause I never needed a pocket knife to carry. But recently I wonder how I got by without one on me all the time. I use this thing for everything.

    Here is is:

From the research I've done its an 08 production model. Didn't know Case knives were collectible either?

thats a cool design... one handed operation and it acts like a brace when cutting spreading the load out...

Got a new knife in the mail today! It's a CRKT Ultima 7" This thing is very sweet, and now that I have it in my hands I'm doubly glad I got the 7" blade instead of the 5"... Sick looking blade, sharp as hell, sweet sheath with leg strap, win!

Some pics vs. my BK7. Same (or very close) blade length, but the Ultima is miles lighter, and has a lot nicer sheath too. Looking forward to breaking it in in the great outdoors!!!

Pretty sweet, that handle looks cool. Bet that'll be plenty handy.

I bought this on REI Outlet today. With tax, it came out to a paltry $22.76, shipped to my local REI store:

Nice knife! I've had the same one as my EDC for 5yrs if not longer. Makes a nice EDC because it's pretty light.

I picked this Gerber up a few months ago (on clearance at Target for $7) thinking I wouldn't really use it. I've had it on my belt ever since and changed the blade twice already - I like that I don't have to sharpen it and can flip the blade to a fresh edge with a flat blade screwdriver.

...this is making me want a knife. A real one. Not a flimsy $5 pocket knife. Although, I am really sad I lost my clear green pocket swiss army knife...

Can't go wrong with CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool), they make some awesome knives at very reasonable prices.

For pocket knives, their M16 EDC (every day carry) series is top-notch. They come in a couple of different sizes, tanto or spearpoint, serrated or smoothblade. I have an M16-02Z and really like it, and it's only $45 from Amazon!
