    Trip to the dunes

My wife, 4Runner and I spent the weekend with some friends in Cayucos. They have a beach house that they share with their friends so we've made it tradition, along with a visit to Pismo. This year another couple joined us and brought their quads. Chris I was going to get a hold of you but most of the trips details were last minute and it was my wife's birthday so I wasn't sure I'd get to go to the dunes at all. As it turns out we spent most of Saturday and Sunday there. Saturday I was in the 4runner and Sunday I was on a rented quad.

Last time I was at the dunes I had my Chevy and stuff broke off of it.

This time I had the 4runner.
What do you think of the lowered look?

About to put the stock suspension to the test.

All in all she did great (the 4runner not the wife - she's 6 months pregnant so she was shopping with a friend). My front license plate needs to be formed back into shape and the removable plastic piece in the bumper reinstalled but she's good to go. I'm waiting on pictures and video from 2 more cameras so stay tuned.

Sand wasn't bad on this trip. I had the front windows down the whole time and very little got in. Whatever I tracked in got caught in the rubber floor mats and there was sand dust on the dash and instruments but that's all, well maybe some more dust in the back.

^^^ That was classic. The fact that the PA speaker had fallen off and was dragging in the sand did not stop Mike from talking on it!

    You suck!!!!

I would have mobbed the van again. I need to get action shots of it.

Looks like you had fun though.

There was a van driving on the beach and I had to catch up to it to see if it was you. I didn't see it in the dunes unfortunately.

Was it maroon with blacked out rear windows? If so, it's a 4wd 5spd like mine and I talked to him at the pismo jambo. He just drives up and down and shore fishes, he's never taken it back in the dunes. Cool old dude, let me know what junkyards have vans in the county.
