Erich, whats the difference in brown bears and Kodiak bears?

I know that brown bears and grizzly bears are genetically the same species, just the separate regions, and thier dietary differences separate them and have spawned the two nomenclatures.

I'm no expert, but they are supposed to be the same species. The huge salmon runs on Kodiak and Admiralty Island allow for huge populations of HUGE bears.

That's why the coastal brownies get so much bigger than thier inland grizzly brothers.
