I am posting pics of the build from day one to present day, they should speak for themselves but feel free to ask any questions

    X2

I've always liked that body. I came pretty close to making my first car an FJ40. I kind of glad I didn't because I didn't have the money to build it up right.

i was real close to buying a 78 FJ40 about a year ago but was talked out of it by my parents and girlfriend (the sane ones)...as much as i wanted it, im glad i don't have it now...i can't imagine the money it would take to build it up and then having to haul it around as I move locations for work every few months

thanks for the complements guys, as far as the money goes it really didnt take that much compared to what they are worth and what I paid for it,I did all of the work myself but still...all in all I probably have about 5k in it and thats including the cruiser itself, and the other night at Pizzahut a guy offered me 12k for it im not possitive if he was serious, however if it was your daily driver I would say no for sure, I mean I love driving it, and it turns heads everywhere it goes but its slow and loud and slow and not very "smooth" at all and some how I always smell of exhaust
so I would never buy one and it be my only rig, I would have to have a daily driver as well

    LC,

Nice progress, I have a rust bucket myself (not an LC) that I repaired just a few months ago, so I know its not easy and a labor of love. Rust sucks!

How to cheat/defeat Photobucket Security Coding and make your pics work within a forum.

*Gott's to make [*img][*/img] your friend asap though...it get's a bit tiresome having to outlink to view pics.
**Click "fullsize" to open the full image, then right click to open the pic as text fullpage in another window, copy the text, minus the t=blahblahblah security coding, then Remove the "*" from the img text I provided above, and insert your htp......jpeg script in to embed the pics thusly..

Nice progress though not a lot of hardcore LC tech here yet, but there's always mud for that.
*share w/ us though, we need the tech here.
