2004 Tacoma DoubleCab No start. Ideas?

Okay guys, Taco has been a little slow starting the past week.

I hooked it up to the charger, and then this morning it wouldnt start at all.
I opened the door, no dome light, no click from starter, no nothing!
The CD player had ejected the CD that was in there. Sounds like it almost HAS to be a fuse.
    What do you guys think?
Is there a main fuse somewhere?
The only one I could find that was big enough to think of as "main" is the alt fuse (120 amps).
    Help me out guys!!

I know this almost sounds like a "der" kinda thing, but did you get your batt tested? My truck was getting harder and harder to start for the last couple of weeks, and I had the batt tested at Wallyworld and it tested bad. Good news for me is that they completely warranted it out.

But it might be the battery's completely gone.

Did you check it with an voltage tester to see if it's got at least 12?

Chris, the battery may have an internal dead short. Unhook the neg side of the battery and hook your charger to the positive battery pole and the unhooked negative battery wire and then see if your interior lights come on. If it does, replace the battery. If not, then you probably have a fuse or wiring issue.

Okay, turned out to be a loose connection to the batt terminal. DOH.
    Looks tight, but its not.
    It started.

Then I noticed the ground to the body right next to the battery was loose and frayed. so I pulled it off to replace, once new installed, no start again.
Just one click of the starter/solenoid.
I took the battery chrager out there and hooked it up, and it said that it needed 4 hours to charge, so somehow it thinks the battery is dead....
Which could be the case. This is the same way the starter sounded on my '97 4Runner when the batt was dead.
I am searching for my multi-meter to see what the battery is testing at.

    Got it.
Found the multimeter, 12.97 volts at rest.
I swapped starter solenoids with the '97, and still just one click, and the Taco solenoid cranked the '97.
Listening to the starter I realize, the solenoid clicks, but the starter doesn't. I checked the connection at the starter, it was fine, trace the wire back to the battery... loose there too.

Teach me not to check loose connections first.

    Thanks for the help guys.

Usually that's the best place to start.
Glad you got it licked though.
