I have had mine mounted in my E250 work van for ages right on the windshield. I just take the actual GPS off and leave the bracket, no issues. But I always lock my stuff and you cant really see the bracket to well in the window.

Well heres the way mine sits now:
BUT, Im wanting to get the Kenwood DNX-8120, with that, you get the stereo duh, lol Satalite radio, Navigation, AND, whats the icing on the cake for me, is that you can download TOPO maps right into the headunit
To get rid of all the other items, and have it all in one headunit, is awesome.. check out this thread http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...0-install.html its the 7130 I think you can download TOPOs into the DNX-5120

Are you sure on that download fact?? My research has shown me that you can only get select maps from Kenwood, you cannot download your own (gpx, usr, ect) onto it. Please let me know if I'm wrong.Originally Posted by Ric

Both GPS units are the Garmin Nuvi 200. I got them for 55 each at my work
on my 85...
on my 95... the power wire for this GPS is actually wired behind the dash.

I'll try to get some pics soon. I've just got my GPS mounted on the windshield under the rear view mirror. Simple Garmin Nuvi 255.
I think I might mount it by the a-pillar and hook the power up directly to the fuse box. If I ever have the time.
