Yup. Very nice kit. Took about 5 hours.

The ladies love it, and, of course, shaving makes it look better.

Its supposed to be an inch. Which would translate into 2" increase in tire size.

I have my doubts, so, once its all ready to go under, I'm going to measure my stock housing currently on the truck at 30psi, and then the shaved housing. We'll see if its as much as they claimed.

here I think it is..bad inference...bad thoughts.

My axle housing base is now smooth, and armored to 3/8". It also should give me about an inch of clearance. I will be measuring to see if its actually that much.

FWIW, for the pic storage if I were in your shoes, I'd consider just signing up for a free Yahoo email account, then transfer that over to a flickr (owned by yahoo) free account. you are allowed up to 100mb a month and something like 1200mb free storage. Now (not that I am advocating it ) if say, someone was to sign up for multiple email accounts, say from different places (thus differing I.P.'s) they can have as much free storage as they can handle. Not that I'm advocating or know anyone who's done/doing that.

Free's free, right? Check my garage post and take a look at what we're doing with our photo accounts and the kind of pics we're storing, along with all the options. If you need any help getting it cleared or need a better explanation just pm me.

No worries, the truck looks good and I think this will make a real tangible improvement.

I have not seen a lot of press on the "cut everything open and improve clearance" mod.

Updates:

Got the rear suspension out, and the new stuff in:


After finishing the rear axle up, I cleanup up a bit, did a lot of organizing, and turned the truck around. Also, due to the extreme generosity of a friend, I picked up a 14" abrasive chop saw for a six pack of beer.

So, I took off my rear axle, and cleaned my frame:



I also began fabbing my frame side bracketry.

Here are my frame plates:





And the back "plates" (rectangular tubes) that will be where the tabs weld to, along with the plates and some square tubular gussets:



And the last of my bling arrived via the UPS man:
